Services to be contracted after public tender

Data Center for control online in Peru by 2011

In his keynote speech on the first day of the Peru Gaming Show 2010 in Lima earlier this month, and opening the IV Latin American Gaming Conference, Manuel San Roman, Director General of local gaming regulators the DGJCMT, spoke on the ‘Current Situation of the DGJCMT and its Future Plans’.

San Roman talked about the Online Control System (SUCTR) for Peruvian casinos and slots operations, saying that Data Center services would be contracted after a public tender that would be granted by 1 October 2011. Law No. 27796, has established that “All companies authorized for exploiting casinos and/or slots machines must be interconnected online to both SUNAT, the tax agency, and MINCETUR, the regulators, for each one of their operations”.

Also the regulating framework for the online controls has specified that “Every licence holder must install an online system in real time in each of their operations, and that MINCETUR will establish the technical specifications for this.” San Roman added that the minimum requirements of the online system include a slot machines Registry. He added that the regulators’ interactive Website and the Data Center would be of great benefit to the Peruvian industry. (E-08.17.10)
