New EZ Pay contract for Solverde Group

IGT SYSTEM GOES LIVE IN PORTUGAL

The Portuguese gaming group, Solverde, has announced its intention to begin installation of IGT’s EZ Pay ticket-in, ticket-out system in its casinos this summer. Currently, plans are in place for a ‘go live’ in the Algarve by the end of June and later this year, another installation is scheduled in the Solverde Group’s Espinho casino.

“I first saw EZ Pay four years ago and knew that the system was right for our casinos then. When I saw the immediate customer acceptance of the product, there was little room for doubt that it would be just as successful in Portugal. We made our decision to purchase the system as soon as it was available to us based on that impression and on the strength of IGT and its product lines,” said Administrator, Mr. Joel Pais.

Before the Easter holiday, the Espinho operation completed an update to its slot floor to include AFT multi-denomination firmware and the ticket printers necessary to install EZ Pay. In addition to that, new video slots games Joe’s Yard Games, Super Sally Shrimpmania, It’s a Blast and Hoot Loot will also be delivered ready for EZ Pay.

The Solverde Group, with its headquarters located in the resort town of Espinho, lies just 17 kilometers south of the historic city of Oporto, home to the famous Port wine. Founded in 1972, the Solverde Group consists of four casinos, maintaining just over 2,050 slot machines, two five-star hotels, and one apartment/hotel. These hotels and casinos are located in both the Algarve and Espinho regions.
