Never one to hide his light under a bushel or to be afraid of hyperbole, Donald Trump is making his presence felt in Las Vegas. The biggest developer in New York City is to build a golden glass tower on six acres of land that will tower over the Las Vegas Strip across from the Fashion Show Mall. The Trump International Hotel & Tower is described by the company, in glowing terms, as the ultimate address at the most luxurious Hotel/Condominium ever built in Las Vegas.

In the information provided by Trump International, Las Vegas is called the hottest destination city on the planet and Donald Trump as the most prestigious name in luxury high-rise living. The 64-storey glass tower will have 1,282 residences ranging from studio apartments to penthouse suites. Floor to ceiling windows will allow the occupants a spectacular view of Las Vegas and neighbours Wynn Resorts and Venetian Resort Hotel Casino. Amenities and facilities will all be 5-star to provide luxury living, but residents will have to go out of their glass tower to enter a casino.

A second tower is already being planned for the site and sales will commence soon at prices higher than for the first tower. Building is booming in Las Vegas, as are casino revenues. Donald Trump has been licensed by the Nevada gaming authorities and at some point may stake his claim in the lucrative market. In the meantime he is content to state that Trump style has finally arrived in Las Vegas. (E-07.13.05)
