According to Melco PBL Entertainment (Macau) Limited, around 60 hotel rooms are now open at the new Crown Macau. The company also confirmed that approximately 70% of gaming facilities, both for the VIP and the mass market are operational and that five of the six restaurants are open. The full complement of hotel rooms is expected to be available by the end of next month.
After a less than auspicious opening last month, Crown Macau should now be able to offer the 6-star service the company promised customers. Lawrence Ho, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Chairman of Melco PBL Entertainment, said: "There is no doubt that Crown Macau has raised the standard for servicing VIP customers in Macau. The initial reaction and feedback from our customers and partners has been very positive, recognizing Crown Macau's outstanding design and elegance.”
The VIP facilities will still not be fully operational until the remaining rooms are available, and getting these completed remains a high priority for the company. Crown Macau has 80 VIP gaming tables, more than originally planned, and is the first casino in Macau to be designed and built to cater specifically for VIPs. City of Dreams, the company’s project on the Cotai Strip in Macau, is scheduled to open late next year. (E-06.15.07)
