Nevada Gaming Commission Approves Wynn Las Vegas Casino Licence

A 'GOLDEN VISION' ON COURSE FOR APRIL OPENING

Wynn Resorts Limited announced last Friday that the Nevada Gaming Commission unanimously approved its wholly owned subsidiary, Wynn Las Vegas, LLC and all of its key employees, to engage in gaming activities in Las Vegas, Nevada. The approvals grant Wynn Las Vegas, LLC, as owner and operator of the Wynn Las Vegas casino resort, gaming licenses to conduct full-scale unrestricted casino gaming operations.

The latest gaming venture by Steve Wynn, the legendary casino developer who up-scaled the idea of theme casinos in Las Vegas by opening the Mirage in the early nineties, and following with the Belaggio amongst his greatest creations later in the decade, is poised to take the gaming and entertainment experience to another level when Wynn Las Vegas opens at the end of next month.

The new US$2.7 billion resort started taking reservations in mid January for one of the world's most highly anticipated destination resort openings this year. Wynn Las Vegas is located across from the Fashion Show mall and adjacent to the Sands Expo. Each of the 2,700 guest rooms and suites in the elegant 50 story, bronze tower is artistically-designed with floor to ceiling windows framing views of the Las Vegas Strip, the property's private mountain and lake, or the golf course.

Even standard rooms are equipped with such plush comforts as large, elegant bathrooms, European linens and bedding, and flat screen televisions in both the living and bathroom areas. Many suites include private massage rooms. The 217-acre resort will open complete with 18 dining outlets, an 18-hole championship golf course, an 111,000 square foot casino, a spa and salon, a gallery of masterworks from the private art collection of Steve and Elaine Wynn, an impressive array of retail boutiques, and a signature show by Franco Dragone.

Wynn Resorts, Limited is currently developing Wynn Las Vegas Resort and Country Club, a concept of Stephen A. Wynn, which is intended to be the pre-eminent destination resort on the Las Vegas Strip. The company is also developing Wynn Macau, opening in Macau, China in 2006. The Las Vegas resort is located on 217 acres across the street from two of the nation's largest convention centres and will employ more than 9,000 people, and had also been granted Clark County Liquor and Gaming Licensing Board unanimous licensing approvals on March 22, 2005. The Nevada Gaming Commission was the final regulatory approval required to commence operations of Wynn Las Vegas on April 28, 2005. (E-03.28.05)
