Appropriately a Las Vegas resident has become the first winner on Aristocrat’s new Zorro Hyperlink progressive game. David Ventura hit the jackpot at Santa Fe Station Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas late on Tuesday night, winning the static $50,000 prize that can be won on any Zorro game. Even more appropriately, David Ventura is a Zorro fan who was at the opening of the new movie, and his win will be spent on a cruise trip to Mexico.
Aristocrat’s new Zorro-themed local-area progressive games are being installed in Nevada in November and December and are already available in a number of Native American and riverboat casinos nationwide. The company's Zorro linked progressive combines the excitement of a four-level progressive jackpot with six bonus events and four bonus features.
Another popular Aristocrat game, Millioni$er, has provided an early Christmas present for Nancy Harlan in California. Last Sunday her favourite progressive paid out its top $500,000 jackpot on the penny progressive at Bear River Casino in Loleta. Las Vegas has a $1,000,000 top prize but in most other jurisdictions the top jackpot is $500,000.
Nancy Harlan plans to spend some of the money on a Christmas present for her two grandsons – a trip to Hawaii. The four tiered progressives give Millioni$er a higher hit frequency so players win jackpots more often.
Las Vegas-based Aristocrat Technologies, Inc. designs and markets gaming machines, casino management systems, progressive systems, and progressive jackpot metres. The company is a subsidiary of the Australian listed global gaming company Aristocrat Leisure Limited. (E-11.17.05)
