Bally Technologies, Inc., a leader in slots, video machines, casino-management, mobile and interactive solutions, and networked systems, has won two American Manufacturing Strategy Awards, and received the awards last month at an awards ceremony in Chicago, Illinois. The judging panel for the American Manufacturing Strategy Awards, which recognizes outstanding achievement in manufacturing, consisted of senior-level executives involved in the manufacturing industry representing global giants including Caterpillar Inc., The Clorox Company, and PepsiCo.
Bally won the award for “Outstanding Achievement in Continuous Improvement”. This award honors the Company’s excellence in motivating employees to remove waste from processes. A key consideration for the judging panel was that continuous improvement be ingrained in the winner’s company culture and a natural part of the day-to-day life of all staff.
The Company also took top honors in the “Demand-Driven Manufacturing” category, which recognizes the business that has expertly implemented demand-driven manufacturing doctrine into the company culture. Bally had to demonstrate how it has effectively responded to changes in demand and collaborated with the supply chain to manage short lead times and meet customer demand.
