The Global Gaming Expo 2011 opened yesterday at its new home in the Sands Expo and Convention Center, with the latest casino innovations for the world gaming community. Game manufacturer International Game Technology opened the G2E show with a truly Hollywood presentation by actor Dan Aykroyd, who launched IGT’s release of a Ghostbusters slot, with Ghostbusters’ limo and all.
At the show and not to be undone, Bally Technologies has the magic of Michael Jackson in themed machine games that had gamers and fans swooning at the Bally booth, ensuring that this will be the company’s next big hit.
At the Merkur Gaming stand, the Latin American operators were enchanted by that perennial and iconic Mexican comic actor Cantinflas, of “Around the World in 80 days” fame. This game, which brings a Latin character into mainstream global gaming, is surely a first for the industry,

More than 440 companies, including over 400 international exhibitors, are participating in this year’s G2E 2012, on a floor area the size of two and a half football fields.
