First time NJ regulators approve all-Windows casino-management system

Bally wins contract with Golden Nugget Atlantic City

Bally Technologies Inc, a leader in slots, video machines, casino-management, and networked and server-based systems for the global gaming industry, has announced the completion of a new systems contract with Golden Nugget Atlantic City, the new owner of the former Trump Marina Hotel Casino in New Jersey. The property has been rebranded as a Golden Nugget casino and the installation will include a broad array of Bally’s latest systems applications, including Windows® SDS™ and CMP™ casino-management systems.

“Bally Technologies is clearly the most comprehensive and battle-tested solution,” said Lori Kittle, Chief Information Officer of the Golden Nugget Atlantic City. “We are excited to be the first casino operator in Atlantic City to move to the Windows-based SDS and CMP platforms, and are confident that Bally will complete this conversion quickly and with minimal disruption to our casino operation. We looked at many different systems providers and Bally’s reputation for strong customer support contributed significantly to our decision.”

Bally’s SDS Windows will be connected live to about 1,500 gaming machines using the latest high-speed networking technology. Bally’s contract with Golden Nugget Atlantic City marks the first time New Jersey regulators have approved an all-Windows casino-management system.

“Golden Nugget Atlantic City has chosen a solid foundation of core products,” said Tom Reilly, Bally’s Vice President of Systems Sales. “We’re thrilled to grow in the Atlantic City market, deploy our latest Windows-based technologies, and work with the Golden Nugget.” (E-07.21.11)
