GLI announces Latin American Regulators Roundtable 2011

Gaming Laboratories International (GLI), the world’s foremost gaming test lab, recently staged its 10th annual North American Roundtable. Now GLI is making final preparations for its Latin American Regulators Roundtable 2011. The event, presented by the company’s exclusive training program, GLI University™, will take place 8 November at the Salón Jacarandá y Ombú del Loi Suites Recoleta Hotel in Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires, Argentina.

The Roundtable will feature an incredible lineup of speakers comprised of the industry’s leading gaming, iGaming and lottery experts. Topics include, “Establishing a Strong Regulatory Process,” “How Regulators Prepare for Challenges When Policy Meets New Technology,” “How Do Your Rules, Laws and Technical Standards Stand Up to Today’s and Future Technologies,” “Monitoring and Control Systems,” “New Technologies in the Lottery Industry,” and “The Impact of Illegal Gaming on Gaming and Lottery Jurisdictions.”

“This has been an incredible year in the gaming industry, globally and in Latin America, because there have been many technological advances that are driving innovation,” said GLI Latin American and Caribbean Development Manager and event producer Karen Sierra-Hughes.

“With those innovations naturally comes the need for regulators to analyze their jurisdictional rules, and the Roundtable is the perfect place for regulators to come together to learn about new technologies and discuss their potential impact.”

The Roundtable is a one-of-a-kind event in the gaming industry and is part of the company’s GLI University, a program that offers continuing education and training to regulators around the world. Last year’s event drew more than 50 regulators from across Latin America. GLI offers the conference to regulators free of charge, and registration is required. Conference registration and information are available now at www.gaminglabs.com/events. (E-11.02.11)
